a detail of one of my latest watercolors…

since i read “through the looking glass” when i was a child i’m fascinated by images that contain allusions to “mirroring” without symmetry…one of my most recent watercolors…(2009)

working with found footage and editing by hand are two of the most incredible experiences i’ve ever had…the quality in the youtube upload is sorta meh, and i was messing with a bunch of silly effects just to see what would happen when i digitized this film, but the original 16mm version is pretty sweet…

sugoi desu NEEEE?!? (tokyo - subway). these little girls and i spoke about all the little treasures they carried in their lunch boxes…there were a lot of “sugoi”s (cool!) and “kakkoi”s (awesome!) in that conversation *_*
